Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026.
SeenBy is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to seenby.com.au and app.seenby.com.au.
1. What we collect
- Account and contact details: your name, email address and, if you provide it, phone number.
- Business information: your website domain, industry and the details you confirm for content generation.
- Scan data: the questions we test, the answers AI assistants give, and the scores and reports we produce.
- Payment data: processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage and technical data: device, browser, IP address and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages you send us, for example via our contact form.
2. Why we collect it
To provide and improve the Service, run audits and scans, create your account, process payments, communicate with you, prevent abuse (including enforcing free-audit limits), and meet legal obligations. We will only send you marketing where permitted, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who help us run SeenBy, only as needed:
- AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity) to run scans and generate content;
- Stripe for payment processing;
- Cloudinary for file storage;
- our email and hosting providers.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)
Some of these providers are located overseas, including in the United States. By using the Service you acknowledge that your information may be disclosed to them. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle information consistently with the APPs, but we cannot guarantee that overseas recipients will comply with the APPs.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal information while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above or required by law (for example tax and accounting records). When it is no longer needed we delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong password.
7. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing info@seenby.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand how it is used and improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us at info@seenby.com.au and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
